Wallem Maritime Services, Inc. (WMSI) was established in 1976 to handle a
crucial element in the industry - the crewing business.
Currently, WMSI has over 2,000 seafarers onboard its manned vessels and maintains over 3,000 in its active pool - seafarers who are hardworking, diligent and well known for their adaptability to multinational environments.
Citations and awards conferred by the Philippine Overseas Employment
Administration (POEA), the governing body of the shipping and manning
industry in the Philippines include:
WMSI was as early as 1988, already a member of the POEA Hall of Fame for
consistently meeting industry standards of service excellence. This
objectively represents WMSI's strong commercial presence in the local shipping
industry and the trust and confidence it commands from foreign ship owners and
managers.

WMSI aims to consistently uphold its role as the premier manning
agency in the Philippines, manned by a dynamic and competent

principals in a timely manner. To achieve this, we will ensure that we meet
our customer's as well as legal and statutory requirements by consistently
developing our people, processes and technology and by regularly reviewing
our quality objective's for us to continually improve our quality management system.
WMSI has been found to conform to the Quality Management System Standard ISO9001:2000 as certified TUV.

WMSI maintains a pool of Cadets through its Cadetship Training Program.
Applicants are selected by undergoing written examination, computer-based
evaluation and lastly, a panel interview. The exam and interview may be
done at WMTC or through regular visits to several Maritime Universities.
During the course of the program, cadets for shipboard assignment undergo preparatory training through videos, CBT, lecture sessions and simulations through the training arm of WMSI, Wallem Maritime Training Center, Manila.
We are consistently ready to address new requirements and entries.
Each principal has their own dedicated pool and seafarers with
excellent performance are reassigned to their previous employers to
ensure job match.
We deploy full crew complements:
Master, Chief Engineer, Chief Officer, Second Engineer, Second
Officer, Third Engineer, Third Officer, Fourth Engineer, Electrician,
Fitter, Bosun, Chief Cook, Second Cook, Able Bodied Seaman, Ordinary
Seaman, Motorman / Oiler, Wiper, Deck Cadet, Engine Cadet, Deck Boy,
Engine Boy, Messman Messboy, among others.
We take absolute responsibility for the accreditation of our principals and
their vessels, following the signing of the Manning Agreement and Special Power
of Attorney (SPA) appointing WMSI as the manning agent. We can complete all
accreditation requirements in a maximum of five days provided all documentation
requirements and vessel particulars are received from the principal.
